OT at Sacred Heart Rehabilitation

The Occupational Therapy Rehabilitation Unit is located on
Level 3 of the Sacred Heart Building,
Darlinghurst Rd, Darlinghurst.

The current staffing is three full time inpatient therapists and one full time outpatient therapist. There is also a weekend Occupational Therapy service so that patients are able to receive therapy up to six days a week.

Referrals
Referrals for rehabilitation are received from the medical, orthopaedic and neurology wards at St Vincent’s Hospital and other local hospitals. All inpatients are automatically referred for Occupational Therapy. Sacred Heart Rehabilitation inpatient and outpatient referrals may be made through the Rehabilitation Clinic or Dr Bowman and Dr Sun.

Outpatient Service
There is also an outpatient occupational therapy service. Upon discharge, inpatients can be referred for ongoing intervention as an outpatient. Individuals from the community require a referral from the Rehabilitation Specialists at St Vincent’s Outpatient Clinic if needing outpatient occupational therapy intervention.
