Background and purpose
In 2007, St Vincent’s Hospital celebrated its Sesquicentenary – 150 years of charity, care and compassion. The interest generated by the celebrations held to mark this important milestone highlighted that there are many former staff members from the St Vincent’s Campus who still feel a strong affinity for hospitals and the work of the Sisters of Charity, and who remain interested in the Campus.
As a result, the St Vincent’s Campus Alumni was formed, with the first function held in the St Vincent’s Staff Cafeteria in May 2007.
The Alumni is open to all former staff members of any of the organisations of the St Vincent’s Campus – St Vincent’s Hospital, St Vincent’s Private Hospital, St Vincent’s Clinic, Sacred Heart Hospice and all associated services.
The Alumni enables people to stay in touch, directly or indirectly, with former colleagues and friends. Members are kept abreast of developments on the St Vincent’s Campus and news of the facilities. In addition, the Campus Alumni website will provide information and links to relevant information.
