The Alcohol and Drug Service recognises alcohol and other drug use is common to all cultures and peoples of the world. We are committed to a harm minimisation approach that recognises the value of each individual.
Underpinning our work are the values of compassion, justice, human dignity, excellence and unity. Services include:
- Medical care of inpatients and outpatients with complications of alcohol and drug dependence
- Counselling services
- Detoxification services including methadone, buprenorphine and dexamphetamine substitution therapies
- Alcohol and Drug Information Service helplines
- Methadone Advice and Conciliation Service
- Drug and Alcohol Specialist Advisory Service (DASAS)
