Course Overview The aim of this one day workshop is to improve team performance in anaesthetic emergencies using simulation and case studies.

Who should attend? The workshop is suitable for anaesthetic/recovery room nurses.
Prerequisites for attending

A minimum of 1 years Anaesthetic and/or Recovery Room Nursing experience.

During the workshop we will be applying Advanced Life Support principles and techniques so you may wish to review the ALS Algorithm etc prior to the workshop; eg. The Australian Resuscitation Council Guideline available at http://www.resus.org.au.  The Advanced Life Support is section 11 and an Algorithm is found on page 6 of Section 11.2 (Protocols for Adult ALS).

Parking There is parking available in the hospital car park at cost of $28 per day.  Public transport to the hospital is via train to Kings Cross Station or by bus from Elizabeth Street in the city (389 or 380).
