Course Overview The aim of this workshop is to facilitate understanding in management of patients requiring procedures under sedation and potential complications, using simulation and case studies. The workshop is suitable for nurses working in Interventional/Procedural areas with a minimum of 6 months experience.

Who should attend? The workshop is suitable for nurses working in Interventional/Procedural areas with a minimum of 6 months experience.
Prerequisites for attending

A minimum of 6 months experience in Interventional/Procedural areas.

During the workshop we will be applying Advanced Life Support principles and techniques so you may wish to review the ALS Algorithm etc prior to the workshop. For example: the Australian Resuscitation Council Guidelines. The Advanced Life Support is section 11 and an Algorithm is found on page 6 of Section 11.2 (Protocols for Adult ALS).
